Eoin May Reviews: Tisas A1 1911 Pistol

Love 1911-style handguns but hate the price?
After 121 years, one could say that the 1911 platform has been well-proven. Rock-solid and accurate, the 1911’s storied reliability is matched only by its storied price … usually at least 50% higher than a comparably sized striker-fired concealed-carry piece. Inflation and consumer demand haven’t helped lower that price tag, either, and Eoin May‘s feeling the crunch just like the rest of us. That is, until he learned about Tisas, which is manufacturing an A1 1911 that can be had for $439 MSRP (which means you can probably find it under $400 at a dealer). So how does this budget 1911 perform on the range? Eoin’s going over it from A to Z!
Would like to see this pistol available in 38 Super.
Iver Johnson makes a 28 round drum for 1911 in 45 Auto.
The Tisas will interchange any 1911 aftermarket parts, including barrels and slides.
Don’t want a 9mm. Would have really liked to hear of one in traditional .45apc. I love my 1911 .45apc, stiking power included.
Thanks anyway. Had my hopes up at that price until you said it was 9mm So sorry.
121 years for the 1911 platform?
Really?
Silly me! I thought this was just 2022.
