It’s a grower, not a shower … One of the first releases from QSP knives, the Pangolin, doesn’t make you tingle in any way right at first. You don’t get that sparkle in your eye like you do when you see explosions, shoot your first belt-fed machine gun, or hold your first samurai sword, but…
As most of you know, I am quite versed in wilderness survival. Drop me off in the driest desert or the coldest mountain and I am sure that I can sustain for three, maybe even five days. When the world was trying to get as much toilet paper as possible to wipe whatever body parts…
Your Lifestyle; Your Holster. The N8 Tactical Professional Series Ever watched someone walk out of a gun store with a $2000 1911 and a $20 holster to put it in? That’s a guy who’s not going to be happy with his everyday carry (EDC) rig no matter what happens. Whether you’re trying to carry at…
Sometimes I witness a dumpster fire so spectacular that I am compelled to write about it. This go-round somebody brought up the fact that it is perfectly legal to consume a moderate amount of alcohol and drive home (depending on your state limit), however, you better not have a gun on you while you…
This is the Osprey by QSP Knives, and the first thing you’ll notice is that it’s a radical departure from the last knife I reviewed from QSP. The Osprey is their sleek and slim everyday carry (EDC) design. Compared to the Platypus, the Osprey’s low-profile design would be a lot simpler to carry every day….
I like to call it The Shooter’s Striptease: the great unholstering that happens just before sacking out… First, the keys and the phone. Then, the knife and the spare mag. The flashlight. Finally, the main gun and the backup gun. I need them every day, and that’s why they’re part of my everyday carry (EDC)…
If you’ve ever taken a pistol course at Renaissance Firearms Instruction, you’ve likely heard me or one of our instructors tell students to “carry what you play with.” While that isn’t always meant to be taken literally, we say it to drive home the point that when it hits the fan your fingers are going…
Ever heard of QSP Knives? QSP stands for Quality, Service, and Price. From my experience, they are everything they advertise. The company is based out of YangJiang China, which makes for a hefty time difference, but their customer service is amazing. The other thing I liked about QSP was the diversity in their products. They…
So, I have this boring old gun… Pistols are terrific for defense on the go but their very nature makes them unsteady. This is the major reason behind a handgun’s “inaccuracy,” not necessarily the shorter barrel or reduced sight radius. In other words, the platform has tremendous potential, it just needs a little help getting…
This year, Schrade’s decided to make an Uproar with an all-new knife lineup (and one cool OTF). Schrade knives has been a well-known blade production company for years, but did you know they recently re-launched an all-new inventory? Every single knife Schrade is selling right now is new. Schrade has so many different shapes, sizes,…
